BELMAST is a metalwork company, which was founded on April 13, 2000 by a large telecommunications company, which in the late 1990s carried out large-scale projects in Latvia and Lithuania. One of those included construction of a corporate communications network, as well as construction of radio relay sites, where towers and communications masts were an integral part. Since the project was large, time-consuming and budget-intensive, and there were certain difficulties with manufacturers of such construction type in the nearest regions, it was decided to organize own metalwork production.
The company was run by young and talented managers who managed to form a core team of BELMAST over a short period of time and in six months the first telecom tower was produced in the manufacturing area of Daugavpils (Latvia).
Due to the high quality, reasonable price and marketing policy, BELMAST products immediately became a serious competitor to foreign alternatives.
Cooperating with big building companies of Latvia and Lithuania, BELMAST took part in large projects of Latvian and Lithuanian Ministries of Defense in 2001. Dozens of network towers and masts, as well as observation and illumination towers were produced within the framework of the projects. Collaboration with GSM providers, such as BITE, TELE2 (Lithuania) and TELE2 (Latvia), had also started.
Later the Company concentrated its activities on the markets of our eastern neighbors – Russia and Belorussia – mostly tanks to its location in the second largest industrial city of Latvia – Daugavpils, 200 km from Latvia’s capital – Riga (Helsinki – 600 km, Stockholm – 780 km, Moscow – 690 km and Berlin – 1230 km).
The major partners in telecommunication business became “TELE2”, “Russian Towers” and “MTS” in Russia, and “Velcom” and “MTS” in Belarus.
Today BELMAST actively develops steel frame manufacture for civil and industrial engineering.
Thanks to the latest technologies and high-quality specialists, our Company can produce metal structures of any complexity and size, starting with small warehouses and ending with huge shopping centers and offices. The main sales markets for manufactured products are Scandinavia, the Baltic States and Russia. The designs produced by BELMAST have been also successfully delivered and erected in the USA, North Africa, Turkmenistan and the Far East of Russia.
12000 m2 roofed and 14000 m2 of open production facilities in Daugavpils, fully covered with lifting equipment, modern infrared heating systems, plasma metal cutting, extensive machine-tool park (including shot blasting chamber, paint-spraying and drying chambers), developed infrastructure and qualified personnel allow processing up to 500 tons of metal per month.
In 2012 our affiliate OOO “Белмаст” (Ltd) started operating. Its manufacturing areas are located in Pskov, Russia. Now its primary purpose is to reach the project value of metal fabrication up to 300 tons per month. Overall production capacity in both factories – Daugavpils and Pskov – is 800 tons of metal constructions per month.
At your service there are also departments of analysis and design, logistics and assembling service. Our logistics department provides timely delivery of materials and parts to secure construction production, as well as delivery of finished elements to the place of consignment in order to meet Customer’s requirements.
Constant multilevel control allows us to supply the market with high quality products. In 2006 our company received a Certificate of Conformity for the quality management system corresponding to ISO 9001:2000, which is international standard in the field of projecting and manufacturing of network towers and masts. Later we received the certificate for ISO 9001:2008, and we do continue to satisfy those standards up to this date. Every year an audit aimed to confirm the quality management system’s correspondence to ISO standards is performed in the company.
